The BCCI in collaboration with EY Caribbean hosted a Business Confidence Survey Media briefing on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024. Over fifty (50) businesses, mostly BCCI members comprising Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Executive Directors and other senior management across eleven (11) industries, participated.
The survey sought to gather perspectives on how businesses in Barbados recalibrated and repositioned themselves and their priorities to secure future success, with the background of global trends which impact Small Island Developing States like Barbados.
Christopher Sambrano, Managing Partner, Strategy and Transactions (SaT), Ernst & Young and Tracy Marshall, EY Country Managing Partner Designate, shared the findings of the Survey, while James Clarke, President, BCCI gave the opening remarks and weighed in on the Question-and-Answer session. Professor Winston Moore, Deputy Principal of The University of the West Indies Cave Hill and member of the BCCI Economic Advisory Committee provided an overview of the survey findings.
The results will guide the Chamber in its advocacy and support of the business sector.
