The Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is pleased that the Government of Barbados has favourably considered its representation made on behalf of persons with surnames L-R whose shopping periods would have been affected by the two bank holidays next week.
In accordance with the changes announced by the acting Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw in her most recent announcement, please note the following changes for the week beginning April 26:
As a result of the upcoming public holidays on April 28 (Heroes Day) and May 01 (May Day), individuals who were assigned to shop on those days based on the alphabet system (surnames L-R),will now be permitted to shop during the times allocated to essential workers,on Sunday, April 26, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and on Thursday, April 30, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

- Carry your National Identification Card, Drivers Licence or Passport as a picture identification is required to be presented before entering the retail outlet.
